Hello and Welcome!
I AM Healing offers bodywork sessions that combine energy clearing, fascial manipulation and intuitive healing techniques to address physical pain and symptoms, as well as the emotions that may be lying underneath. Each unique and personally tailored session encourages a deeply relaxed state, which leads to optimal restoration and the balance of both body and mind. In turn clients have reported the following:
Relief from pain and unexplained symptoms
Feeling a new level of expansion and calm
Increased fluidity and a sense of well being
Deeper connection with their bodies
The discovery of maladaptive coping skills or unhealthy emotional patterns and a new desire to let them go
Just to name a few!
According to psychologist Dr. Thema Bryant,“Many trauma survivors hold their breath and their bodies tightly, bracing themselves for whatever is coming next. Staying alert for years takes a toll. Create spaces where you can take your armor off.”
Allow me to help create that safe space for you.
Your body is calling to you. Come back home.

It is believed that the body is comprised of vital energy that flows through both the subtle and physical body. When the flow of this energy gets disrupted by various life events (ie repeated stress, injury, surgery, death of a loved one, complex trauma, etc), it throws the body into disharmony, which can lead to physical symptoms and disease.
It is this exact energy that we will work with during a session.
“Numerous cultures describe a matrix of subtle energies that support, shape and animate the physical body, often displaying intelligence that transcends human knowing, called qi or chi in China, prana in the yoga tradition or India and Tibet, ruach in Hebrew, ki in Japan, baraka by the Sufi’s, wakan by the Lakota’s, orenda by the Iroquois, megbe by the Ituri Pygmies, and the Holy Spirit in Christian tradition. It is hardly a new idea to suggest that subtle energies operate in tandem with the denser, “congealed” energies of the material body.”
-Donna Eden, Energy Medicine
The transfer of energy is sometimes better shown than discussed. Take a moment to rub the palms of your hands together, back and forth while friction builds. You should feel the energy increasing between your palms as you create heat. Now hold those palms up to your cheeks, your eyes. Take a few deep breaths. Feel the warmth. That’s your body’s energy.

Because the body never forgets…..
As the mind-body connection continues to be explored, it’s become apparent that all thoughts, emotions and experiences are stored in the body - both good and bad. While the good can make us feel lighter and more fulfilled, storing the bad can cause a myriad of physical and mental health imbalances.
Traditional medicine reaches for a diagnosis or a condition that can be classified and treated. However, we are learning that it isn’t as simple as treating symptoms; we have to get down to the root cause. Often that root cause is unexpressed emotions and/or stored trauma, which can cause blockages in the physical body. In turn, these blockages often present in the form of physical deterioration such as chronic pain and fatigue, migraines, reproductive imbalances, sleep issues, TMJ etc.
Bodywork can assist in the release of emotional blockages so one can seek relief not only from physical symptoms, but find true balance and healing.

Unlike traditional massage therapy or chiropractic work, fascial release work consists of long, intentional holds. There is no cracking or adjustment of bones and there is no deep muscle massage. Instead, the practitioner uses continuous touch to gently manipulate and release the fascia. While still incredibly relaxing, a fascial release session will often focus on one or two targeted areas, instead of massaging the entire body.
Each session I facilitate is unique and client driven. I never come into a session with an agenda or plan. Instead, I listen with intention and allow your body to guide and show me where and how it needs to be supported. As a practitioner, I combine energy clearing, fascial manipulation and intuitive healing techniques to promote the release of stored emotions and to encourage balance within the physical body. In turn clients have reported feeling a new level of expansion within the body, increased fluidity and a sense of well being, deeper connection with mother earth and the discovery of maladaptive coping skills or patterns and a new desire to let them go - just to name a few. Chronic physical symptoms may also lighten or cease.
In order to effectively release the fascia, sessions are ideally performed directly on skin as this allows the practitioner to accurately detect fascial restrictions. You will undress to a comfortable level and lay on a table for the duration of the session, part of the time on your back, and part of the time on your stomach.
It is recommended that a 90 minute session be booked for your first appointment.

Who is this for?
Bodywork is for anyone looking for release and a new level of healing.
It is a modality many seek after traditional therapies have failed to provide relief and the disease or pain has a psychosomatic root.
Body work is extremely helpful for those who have issues with embodiment as a result of physical and emotional trauma.
Bodywork can be very helpful for those hoping to heal any of the following:
Decreased mobility/range of motion
Chronic pain - with little of no relief from multiple pain management methods/techniques
Trauma or scar tissue from an injury or surgery
Emotional trauma, such as PTSD or CPTSD, that has resulted in physical symptoms
Women’s health issues (pelvic floor dysfunction, cystitis, incontinence, etc)
Migraines
TMJ
Sleep issues
Mood swings
My story….
After the birth of my children, I began to experience unexplainable symptoms - chronic fatigue, lower back pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, heavy periods - in spite of the many ways I was taking care of myself. My quest to find relief was exhaustive and fruitless. No one had answers or a lasting solution - only bandaids, further testing or handfuls of supplements or meds. I felt hopeless, until I discovered the magic of bodywork and energetic healing. It was like a shroud had been lifted from my eyes. Not only did the healing sessions provide relief from the physical symptoms, it also granted me a new perspective and a different way of being.
“Traumatized people chronically feel unsafe inside their bodies: The past is alive in the form of gnawing interior discomfort. Their bodies are constantly bombarded by visceral warning signs, and, in an attempt to control these processes, they often become expert at ignoring their gut feelings and in numbing awareness of what is played out inside. They learn to hide from their selves.”
